6's Format

This is a SIXES rec league. Sixes lacrosse is an innovative and dynamic discipline of lacrosse that showcases fast-paced and high-scoring gameplay. As a variant of the traditional format, it features only six players on the field, creating an exciting and intense experience for both players and spectators. Sixes lacrosse has gained popularity in the last few years throughout the US and Internationally. It was featured in the 2022 World Games, the PLL Championship Series and will be the discipline at the center of lacrosse's return to the Olympics in 2028.

AGE DIVISIONS:
14U: born between 9/1/10 - 8/31/12
12U: born between 9/1/12 - 8/31/14
10U: born between 9/1/14-8/31/16
8U: born before 9/1/16


GAME DAYS:
Sundays @ Patton Park (Fields 6 & 7)
(2850 Hodges Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32246)


GAME TIMES:
Between 10:00am and 1:00pm

TRAINING SESSIONS:
Skill Development Sessions will be offered through Upper Hand Lacrosse one hour prior to the start of your game each Sunday. This is included in the registration fee.


REGISTRATION FEE:

$159/Per Player

EQUIPMENT:
Full Gear (Stick, Helmet, Arm Pads, Gloves, Chest Protector/Shoulder Pads, Mouth Guard, Protective Cup)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Game play format will be SIXES
• Smaller Field Dimensions (60yrds x 35yrds)
• 2 Point Shot Lines for all age divisions
• This is a FRIENDLY league. Players and Parents are asked to keep the intensity to a minimum.
• Players from all participating programs will be evenly divided onto teams by level of experience. Meaning your players will be on a team with players from Jax Lax Beach, Jax Lax City, Riptide, Panthers, etc..
• You will be notified of your team roster and schedule NO LATER THAN September 4th at 5PM.
• No "Take-Out" Body Checks are allowed.
• No Long Poles or Modified Poles
• Paid Officials/Paid Coaches
• One Strike Policy on Fighting or Throwing a Punch
• Season will culminate in Championship games at each division
